OATH KEEPERS IS SENDING A LEADERSHIP AND TRAINING TEAM TO VIRGINIA TO ASSIST IN ORGANIZING RESISTANCE TO UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACTS AND TO ORGANIZE AND TRAIN ARMED POSSES AND MILITIA.


Oath Keepers national leadership and some of our best trainers are on their way to Virginia to work boots on the ground, starting right after New Years Day, to do all we can to assist in organizing, training, and advising local town and county resistance to the unconstitutional and dangers actions of the Governor. We will stay for the duration, until the work is done! Among our trainers are U.S. Army Special Forces veterans and SWAT law enforcement trainers. They will focus on helping Sheriffs raise and train an official armed posse in each county, under command of the Sheriff, and on organizing, training, and equipping official county militia, under the authority of the county government.


In addition, they will form up and train Spartan Training groups in each county, to bring all patriotic Americans together to train in critical skills so they are a pool of well trained volunteers that constitutional sheriffs and patriotic county officials can call on to assist in time of need, and that can serve as posse and/or militia.

If you carefully analyze this, it is about fear management.
IMO Oathkeepers are primarily a peaceful organization.
The biggest value has nothing to do with guns or gear but experience, intelligence and effective communications.
During the unrest after katrina and ferguson they were very helpful helping people like property owners and small businesses defend their lives and property against gangs, thugs and unlawful searches. They also helped preventing civil rights violations.
Leadership are not the average joe but retired or active military, swat, fire, medics, etc...

5 years ago there was a chance to spit in the emperor’s eye about Safe. But us NYer’s were left to spin in the wind and were told that “it’s all your fault for voting the way you do”.

Well since then the liberal progressive march towards total gun control continues and people are seeing that N.Y. was not a one off.

Now people in these “ain’t never gonna happen states” are worried. Because their gun rights will soon be up for a vote in a Democrat controlled state legislature. Us good old boys here in upstate know how that’s going to end.

I don’t think this rally will stop the passage of these laws in Virginia. They are coming. What is interesting to me will be how the people of Virginia react as it will be up to them as to what happens next.

New York is pretty established already in its control, with less gun ownership. While not impossible for something like this to happen in New York as well, Virginia is fresh on people's minds. The wound is still very fresh there.

If this takes off in Virginia, it would be a success that will likely spread to other states. I wouldn't be surprised if Cuomo has a vested interest in providing support to Virginia, in one way or another, to prevent similar actions in his own state.

I understand your point but if they show up in support in good numbers it will say to the demonrats maybe we should back off or other states will say hey they won’t be disarmed quietly, it’s not worth proceeding.
I feel the demonrats in VA are doing this because they think it would be easy and people will just say ah oh well I’ll surrender my guns or hide them quietly. The fact that they are not staying quiet is great and I think a big surprise. I think this will raise some eyebrows and wale some people up. I think as with NYS and the safe act if people stay quiet and hide their guns the demonrats don’t really care and think it’s a victory because they can say the laws on the books look what we did and they will pick off those people one by one. This is not what’s happening in VA.
The safe act in NYS woke me up as I wasn’t really following what was going on before then. I was busy with my job, wife, and young family. I just had no idea what was going on. I think a lot of people are like that. It’s on the late side for NYS and the majority of NYS doesn’t care but I think VA and most other states aren’t like that. I guess time will tell and I’m personally intrigued and inspired bums what’s happening.

If the police cannot or will not enforce the law for that one day demonstrates to the country and the state that they lack the power and will to enforce it against the will of the people. The thing I've noted in recent years, "due process of law".

The liberals have twisted that clause into including acts of the legislature.

A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one. An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law. Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the lend, it is superseded thereby.

No one Is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.

All citizens and legal residents of the United States, by their presence on the territory of the United States, are subject to the militia duty, the duty of the social compact that creates the society, which requires that each, alone and in concert with others, not only obey the Constitution and constitutional official acts, but help enforce them, if necessary, at the risk of one's life.

Any unconstitutional act of an official will at least be a violation of the oath of that official to execute the duties of his office, and therefore grounds for his removal from office. No official immunity or privileges of rank or position survive the commission of unlawful acts. If it violates the rights of individuals, it is also likely to be a crime, and the militia duty obligates anyone aware of such a violation to investigate it, gather evidence for a prosecution, make an arrest, and if necessary, seek an indictment from a grand jury, and if one is obtained, prosecute the offender in a court of law.


Any person exacuteing an Illeagal law against the people of the US is acting in a criminal capacity and subject to arrest. The law is on the side of the people.

The end game is to pass the law so that you cannot buy anything else. They do not care what you have in your closet. Once you die, whatever noncompliant gun you have will die with you just like grandpa’s fully automatic M14 or AK that he brought back from the war. After his death, his kid’s or grandkids dispose of it.

The police will not enforce until they have to. They will charge you if you committed another crime like a disturbance or DV. Then at a car stop because their hands are tied. Then eventually all the time just like anywhere else. Do you think that 22 year old Johnny who just became a Sheriff’s deputy will put his job on the line wearing a body cam when he gets a call that you are hunting with a fully featured AR? No. He will not.
