OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma's Republican Gov. Mary Fallin vetoed a bill late Friday that would have authorized adults to carry firearms without a permit or training, dealing a rare defeat to the National Rifle Association in a conservative state.
She lobbied for and signed the legislation for both Concealed Carry and Open Carry in her State. I would trade Oklahoma for her as our new govorner in a heart beat. I'd even give them FUAC and another Governor to be named later. Oklahoma is still the same now as Texas, concealed carry with a short proficiency course and background screen but without the Texas 30.06 and 30.07 BS restrictions for open carry and concealed carry. She still should have signed it thereby eliminating the existing proficiency check, to make them the 10th permitless concealed carry state (even though OK residents would have lost retroprocity in some other States like PA) but it is not a crushing defeat as the fake news packages it.
