This is very interesting, clearly the desire for full caliber CCWs has existed for some time. The thing that strikes me is that modern production options do the same thing for so much less money now. though I don't think 1500+ for the ASP is insane for what is a high end custom gun.

I really like it to be honest. I'm not well informed of some of the semi auto smith and wesson models, but there are other older, but newer models that look really similar that I'd like to add to my collection. They are pretty chunky, but really that's the only reason I probably don't have one.

It does look waaay sexier than any modern polymer sub compact. Not sure about the whole "slips in your hand and stays put" thing however. Why can't we have clear grips though? That is a cool feature, just get Lancer to do some clear pistol mags and we'd be all set.

I have to say I like the gutter sight. Seems very quick to aquire. Not sure how accurate, but interesting.

I don't think the gutter snipe sight is meant to be precise at all, just fast as you say. It seems a similar concept as the new Meprolight FT bullseye sight.

Interesting video! I picked up an S&W Model 439 last year, and it is fun to shoot. The trigger has a very short reset. Mine has an ambi safety as well. I find the ambi safety makes it extremely easy to rack the slide too. I also put Pachmayr grips on mine. It shoots very softly compared to my 9mm M&P Shield.

I'm still looking for a stainless version (Model 639) and would consider selling my 439 as part of a trade.
