Pistol brass stretching?

I heard a statement that straight wall pistol caliber brass does not stretch. I do measure my 9mm, .357, .44mag and .45 ACP. I can't recall ever having to trim any brass in those calibers. My .444 Marlin does stretch (straight wall rifle. )

Does the pistol reloading hive find this is true for them?

Never trimmed pistol brass. But...I'm still short of 10k rounds reloaded over 2 years. So, I'm not a high volume reloader.

I never trim pistol brass. I just batch it. I only notice differences in crimps if I am using mixed head stamps. I don't know enough about straight walled rifle cartridges to say one way or another. The pressures are almost double that of common pistol calibers.

The only time I hear of people trimming pistol brass is when they roll crimp. I don't think that's even because they are growing but rather to have consistent length brass so the roll crimp is consistent.

I've an RCBS setup but use a Lee factory crimp for both roll and taper crimps. Lee crimp adjusts for differential in brass length.
