I said guilty but under 10 years. We have very few facts about this case and I'm basically this entirely on his partner saying he was stunned by the shooting. That tells me it was wrong, but the odds of him getting more than 10 years are slim to none.

Joking aside, normally, I err on the side of the cop in cases like this unless other facts come out. This one though...I just don't get it or see a logical explanation for why he would shoot her. Sounds like she was just standing there trying to tell him something and shot her through the window. As Blimey said, the fact that the partner isn't exactly coming to his co-workers defense says something too. I'm not quite yet ready to go the whole "he's black and shot her because she's white" or "he's Muslim so shot her because she's not Muslim" yet but I wouldn't be surprised by that either.
