In a mobile lifestyle, would it be possible to prep efficiently enough?

As in, with limited space, cargo capacity, can you have enough room to prep with a purpose? Or would it be wasting cargo space for other things?

How mobile of a lifestyle are you living? You might consider creating hidden caches throughout your mobile range as a supplemental solution to what you can carry.

This is an interesting idea. I was just wondering what I should do as I am planning a road trip with the family this summer. I never really out much thought into it before but now thinking about it I would feel uneasy away from home and my stuff.

When i was a over the road truck driver i would always have a bicycle (almost always a mtn bike) in the truck with me and a small get home bag. As long as i wasn't in California i would have a reasonable chance of riding the bike home. I could knock out about 100 miles a day on average. I had food in the truck i could take with me for a few days and i never leave home without a water filter. The plan was always to get home. I'm not sure if you mean to stay out on the road.

Even when I am on vacation I bring a get home bag with me.

As for the OP, There are many ways to be prepared as a mobile person. Storage lots are a great start. Safety deposit boxes at banks and private mailbox companies come to mind as well.

The safety deposit boxes are a good idea. One concern is always having access to it, shtf or otherwise.

I don't have a bike (no place to put it) but in a short term emergency I don't see why I'd ever leave the truck if I could help it. I got shelter with a bed, heat, air cond, food, water, basic medical supplies, clothing, TV, Playstation and electricity. And also porn.
The big thing I'd lack was the "hardware". That is a problem, but I can't do much about that. Long term, I dunno, try to make it home to get the "hardware" maybe. I a major, long term event I'd proly drop the trailer and abscond with the tractor, find a quiet place to hunker down and figure out what to do.

The homeless bum lifestyle. I suppose being mobile may be able to keep you one step ahead of trouble. I would rather go home even if there may be trouble getting there. The only exception i could think of is being stranded on a tropical island, i might not want to be saved for a few months?

Style aint cheap. You could get the F650 based version for a cool mil, if you were so inclined.
