I am a bit bummed. He lived a very good and a very filled life.

May he have eternal rest.




"George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator, Texas oil pioneer, and 41st President of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018. He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two siblings," the former president's office said in a statement. "He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline "Robin" Bush; and his brothers Prescott and William or "Bucky" Bush.

I think it should be noted, the above quote, often cited as the reason President Bush did not get elected to a second term, and sold to America by big media, is a purposeful falsehood. He was not re-elected because of that weasel rat bastard Perot, a POS that hated Bush more than he loved our country, who drew off enough votes to assure a Clinton victory, forever changing the course of our ship of state. Yes, thank that little rat face for the Bill and Hillary show that spawned O'dumbo. and continues to drag us down to the lowest common denominator.

Mmm, I was only a young teen at the time but I remember it that way. Also, I hate the two-party system. I say the more parties and opinions, the better. Both Dems and Reps have lied to the American people. If Pres. Bush had run a better campaign and touched a nerve with enough Americans he would had won. Although I don't agree with many of things Pres. Trump is doing (bump stock bans, not pushing for National Reciprocity, trade wars) he ran a much smarter campaign. He connected to people. No, I disagree with you that Ross Perot loss the election for G.H.W. Bush just like I disagree that Ralph Nader lost the election for Al Gore.

Anthony, there were a variety of factors, but Perot was the main one. A close second would be Mary Matalin, James Carvelles wife, running his campaign. I remember talking to my party convention delegate and saying that he, Bush, is running like he doesn't really want to be re-elected. That was my impression at the time and I wondered if she tanked him.

Oh yeah, thanks for the memories. Where would we be without the ban-granddaddy? His was a gentler, kinder ban, with pre-existing mags and butt hole stocks.

Like many presidents, he was a puppet in the dumb species, but not as dumb as his son.
At least he had the common sense to avoid going after Sadam because nobody had an exit strategy.
That saved a lot of American lives right there at the Iraqi border.
