Now, of course the Court will allow it because it's just one more way to deter people from going after a permit. A lot of people really like your privacy and getting a perm it simply wouldn't be worth giving that up. It's all about their agenda, and it's absurd that that information should be released. Even more absurd where required to have permits in the first place.

They can only get info on permit holders that did not opt out. Everyone was told by the clerks office and many other places to fill out the opt out forms. If you didn't now the can get your permit info via FOIL.

Appreciate the link Doc, thanks. Odell and company have been fighting the good fight here and I hope they keep it up. The Clerk made a great point at a SCOPE meeting a few months ago- when you publish the map with the gun owners shown, you are not only drawing a treasure map for gun thieves, but also for home invaders looking for unarmed homes (my paraphrase).
