70 hours to print the receiver and barrel? That does not sound cost productive in the least and far from a "rapid" prototype. Even with fixture building I bet you could plug that out in 1/10th the time on a lowly 5 axis center.

There really wasn't that much plastic in it. The barrel and receiver were aluminum the FCG steel. Doing additive with real metal is very slow and expensive at this point of the game.

I understand but you could make the entire thing out of graphene and it would be lighter and stronger than what they created there could ever be.
