Reloading room air compressor

Does anyone keep a small air compressor in their reloading room? If so what kind and size. I am thinking about adding one and looking for suggestions. I have been looking at the Fortress 1 gal. at Harbor Freight.

I use the disposable compressed air in a can. They make the refillable version also.

Been thinking about it for years. Was thinking about running a line from the garage to the basement so I didn't have to listen to it. Kept track of the times I actually would use it. I ended up using canned air, same can last a good 4-5 years. If something is really grungy, I take it to the garage so I don't spatter the oil around the shop. With the exception of powder/primers I found a good used canister vac cleans up everything really nice. Mostly that grungy powder you get when you decap. I found that with the canned air all's I do is move the dust around the shop. Hence minimum use. For cleaning up spilled powder I have a 1" paint brush and mini dust pan. Most spills on the bench. For the rare floor spill, a good utility broom and dust pan. Some of the dry Swifter products are great for wiping down the press. For the bench in general I use Simple Green to get the gunk and powder off.

I'm curious as to your application for compressed air?

I have a portable dewalt compressor that lives in my workshop / reloading room when its not needed elsewhere.

If you're just looking to blow off dust and powder, get the cheapest thing you can find. As long as you're not trying to run a tool with it, anything will do.

I have a ten gallon compressor in the annex and run a hose into the shop. it's handy and I don't have to listen to it.

If it's the one I have it ain't so quiet that I'd want to sit in an enclosed space with it.

It doesn't get rid of dust, it just moves it somewhere else.

If you pressurize the case the bullet goes faster. Didn't you know that?

I just use a leaf blower.

Sometimes I'll clear some loose powder flakes with a puff of air. If I'm using wax lubed bullets, the seating die needs a bath in the ultrasonic every few hundred rounds. Compressed air dries it out quick.

I have my work bench in the same area, so the compressed air comes in handy for gun cleaning and other tasks.

In the man cave I have a small one 2 gallons I think. More thsn plenty. In the garage I have a large one 27 gallons and 180psi.

Harbor freight cheap but you might need fittings and hose and nozzle. I use a small vacuum from Walmart.

Well I purchased the small 1 gal. Compressor from HF. The Fortress. Nice little compressor and is extremely quiet. About 57 db. Only paid $109.00. I now have a little compressed air if and when I need it.
