Home defense with a bolt gun?Firing the pistol off-hand become much easier, and the whole package is small and unobtrusive enough to become a favorite for home defense or defending the back 40 from coyotes.
but then, taste has no boundary.
I tried googling the purpose of this. I honestly couldn't find it.
It's so bulky and large would a person really use it for "pistol hunting"?
If you look at the rear, it's set up to accept a brace. All the others here can't put 2 and 2 together.Pistol hunting 100%.
Give it some time and I am sure SB tactical will have a brace for it.
Now again you have a "pistol" for those pistol only areas

Good job. Edward. You will go places. The others here, not so much.
Not only that, with a folding arm brace and short barrel, it could easily go into a pack. 21 inches vs 40 plus inches.I remember months ago when this first came out and I was showing friends and shit and the hate was real.
Then I reminded them that they hunt in Shotgun/handgun only areas, and imagine this with a pistol brace, now you can hunt with a .308

I didn’t realize some areas were pistol only (maybe I did I recall at least one WMU around Rochester is not rifle). This completely explains it.Pistol hunting 100%.

Isn't that what @meketrefe said about his wildcat round?Why, it's, it's orgazmic!!!!!!

Had one for a while and traded it for an Encore to get heavier hitting rounds. Killed a lot of deer with my Contender thoughWaste of money. Get a Thompson Center Contender pistol and get different caliber barrels.
Can you use a brace on that Thompson like a regular stocked SBR rifle?Waste of money. Get a Thompson Center Contender pistol and get different caliber barrels.
What the law doesn't see.......Can you use a brace on that Thompson like a regular stocked SBR rifle?
It's legal to use a brace. I'm just wondering how one would attach it to a contender. What the law doesn't see.......
No one currently offers one for the Contender or Encore but if someone thought enough into it one could be made to incorporate the grip. But for my comment above, the Contender and Encore handguns are the same identical frame as their rifle counterparts. It's legal to use a brace. I'm just wondering how one would attach it to a contender.
Meke. Every gun is useless to you unless it's a gun you really like with a really long barrel so that powder isn't wasted.
Did you read the reasons why this would work for some? Not everyone is a paper puncher who shoots at distance. Some hunting areas you can't even see 50 yards in front of you. Some areas only allow pistols and shotguns. Someone else may like this with an Arm Brace and a folding stock for a camping trip that isn't primary based on hunting so that it can be out of the way in a backpack. Someone else may want it in .223 for a tractor gun for varmints. Ect...
Yeah but what if I don't want a revolver or some long lever action that I can't fold the stock and that I have to buy ammo for a hunt. What if I just want this in .223 loaded with a 75 gr Gold Dot which even through a short 10.5 inch barrel performs more than adequately for the puny deer here? For that you have compact carbines, big bore levers and hunting revolvers along with some semi-auto pistols.
It is not just me, many ballistics and practical shooters and enthusiasts will tell you the same.
The pistols in bolt action have very limited following due to the lack of versatility.
Out of all the re-loaders and wildcatters is a small portion that at the same time they are a small portion of the
entire shooting and reloading community themselves like shooters.
horrible choice of calibers for that type of crowd. 6.5mm and 7mm TCU those are affordable pistol calibers with some punch for short
barrels. The 30 herret from a 6.8 SPC is also another super efficient round. Actuall the 6.8SPC will do so much better at anything they
are trying to do with out of the box ammo. Even a lever action 357 carbine or pistol will be a lot more realistic and versatile.
A Remington 700 pistol brings nothing to the table neither those calibers.
This is a fact not an opinion.
