Rifle selection opinion

I haven’t purchased a new rifle in quite some time. I have the manufacturer narrowed down but I’m on the fence on what Version of a particular model to purchase. So I thought that I Would ask you guys to see what you thought.
I’m looking at the CZ 527 in .223
527 American 21.9” heavy barrel 1:9 twist
527 Carbine 18” barrel 1:9 twist
527 LUX 23.6 “barrel 1:9 twist
I’d like to hear some opinions On which One you would select and why.
I’m leaning towards one in particular but I’ll wait to see what some of you think.

Any particular purpose? Like hunting Yote's I would maybe go with the carbine.

I prefer the carbine length barrel due to ease of carrying and maneuverability.
What is your intended use for this rifle?

Lets just say for sake of argument that this will be a general purpose rifle.
I may hunt with it. Yotes, whitetail, paper etc.

Personally I would be inclined to go with the LUX. It is only like 2" longer than the American and looks more versatile. But I am also already covered in the 16" / 18" universe as far as .223 goes so I'm biased toward one of the longer barrels for this.

I suppose in part it depends on what ammo you intend to put thru it.

I will say while I don't have a CZ rifle, I really like their iron sights, and generally I think it's nice to have them even if you scope your rifle.

With the 1x9 twist rate, you’d be limited with ammo selection and cannot shoot heavy, long range target or hunting loads that are in 75 and 77 grain.

A: All of our .223s will happily eat 5.56. Since our factory is in Europe, we build everything to CIP spec, which doesn’t differentiate between the two cartridges and just has the higher pressure as its standard. So the CZ .223s will shoot everything from the cheapest Russian steel to match .223 brass ammo.

Yeah but twist rate is more about stabilization than pressure.

Agreed, however , the pressure statement was Added in reference to wether or not you could shoot 5.56 ammo in their .223 rifles.
As far as the .223 chambering, they state that the gun will shoot match grade ammo in that twist rate. IIRC match grade .223 consists anywhere from 47 -77 grain ammo. Plenty heavy enough to hunt with if I choose to use the rifle for that.

The LUX would be off my radar completely. With a tube that long, I'd be looking elsewhere.

I’m a fan of longer barrels for a bolt gun. My vote goes to the 21 inch barrel.

And if it does do it, it will not do it as well as a 1x8 or 1x7 and you may have accuracy issues with the bullet possibly keyholing at longer ranges. Wind and temperature may also affect whether it key holes when it didn’t do so in an indoor range under perfect conditions for example.

That being said, I'm liking my Howa Mini 6.5. Sub-MOA potential out of the box with factory ammo.

This is Not an AR15 barrel ( yes I realize that the twist is the same) and I won’t be using it for a Long range rifle, so I think I’ll be ok in that respect.
