In stock config, I agree, but I'd throw an arm brace and a small scope on it. Then you'd have every advantage of a rifle over a handgun. Versus a rifle, you'd be trading a little velocity for weight and the ability to toss it in a backpack. Not a significant difference for most, but if I lived in a state where I could have one and didn't have to go through the hassle of putting it on a license, I'd sell my 10/22 Takedown in favor of one of these in a heartbeat.
No purpose needed by me, just a want!!
If I had to have a 'need' for every gun I either own now, or have owned prior, I wouldn't really have many guns.
When I go into a gun store, I consider it a place of 'wants, not needs'!!
