Yeah, technically true (the best kind of true), but it is still a safety issue (literally) and has a parts fix available, so.. close enough. I did change the title though.

I'm super glad you did leave this up! I just recently purchased a used 57 and hadn't heard of this. My gun does fall into the serial number range but so far so good with function. I'm debating on giving them a call tomorrow to see if retrofit was done
