The LCP II is moving up my list, though my holy grail of mouse guns is still a Seecamp .32, for sentimental reasons as much as anything else (grandfather had one, was never anywhere without it, and sold it off before he passed).

Since I only carry ball rounds, I’ve been carrying the LCP 2 since I can barely tell it’s there and the wound would be the exact same as a 9mm. Complete pass through with a wound diameter of .355.

My LCP gen 1 has well over a 1,000 plus down the bore bought it back in 2011 always go bang.

If I had a reason to go 380, Id get one. However, with a Kahr CM9 being very similar in size with weight being the main issue, just not for me.

I had an LCPII and it was a really reliable gun.. No issues ever.. Only thing i didn't like was the recoil.. I am a reasonable size guy, but man that thing still hurt to shoot.. My wife had an LCP Custom, and I had the LCPII.. Both are gone.. Too hard to practice with at the range.. 2-3 mags, and then we were done.... She got a Sig P238, and never looked back.. I bought the 938, and just last week got a P238 for whatever reason.. A tad smaller and lighter, easier to rack.. I just like the whole design of that series..

My finger gets pinched between the trigger and trigger guard. I still like mine but you’re right it’s not fun to shoot.

Just got mine back from the second warranty service. They said they replaced the barrel but the slide is very loose now and jiggles from left to right, so I’m wondering if larger barrel tolerance is allowing play in the slide. Haven’t had a chance to see if the FTE issue is fixed but I’m optimistic. I guess extractor issues/FTE are pretty common in LCP IIs that have any issues at all.

Damn. You must have gotten a lemon. That sucks. I hope you don’t give up on it. It’s a good gun. Maybe you can sell it and buy another one.

Weight and girth especially in the slide is a big difference compared to the Kahr. I wear it inside the waistband and I literally do not know it’s there. And I’m not just saying that. Sometimes I have to feel it to make sure it’s still there.
Also, the trigger is excellent. It isn’t a long drawn out trigger with a long reset. It almost feels like the aftermarket trigger I installed on my Glock.
My only con is that it’s too thin. It’s good for the waist but sometimes during rapid fire, it’s so thin that it shifts a bit in my hand.

Ruger has such great CS that if there are more problems I’ll keep calling it in until they give me a whole new gun. Just bought another couple thousand rounds of .380 ball and JHP in anticipation, and I‘m already 800-900 in on this gun.
Ruger CS is the best, no question.. They have been great to me,probably why I own more rugers by far, than any other brand.

I have put probably only 500 rounds through mine. I find that it fails to cycle properly every 70 rounds or so. I clean it after a session and I have a firm grip on it. I love its size but I would bet that some of the tiny glocks are more reliable.

So I took out the LCP II to see if it was fixed. Shot 100 rounds of Blazer 95gr FMJ and 50 rounds of Fiocchi 90gr JHP.
Had 2 failures with the Fiocchi where the empty shell would eject but the slide would not fully close on the next round, requiring a little push to get it into battery. Had 1 failure with the Blazer with a stovepipe. So a 2% failure rate overall.
Gun still shoots great, and I can cloverleaf with it at 10-15 feet but I still won't carry it. I'll shoot it some more before sending it back again or maybe sell it, not sure right now. Was hoping it'd be good to go this time.
