After searching high and low, I have an out of country source that has over 100 stocked and selling for less than $60 each (6900 series steel body). I will divulge my source after I have ordered all I need for my barn full of 6900 series pistols. BTW I ordered two from ebay (5900 series pinned to 10 rds) that did not fit the magwell of my 6946. Had to return, so don't be fooled. There are some bad designs out there. You need either the smith factory 6900 originals or smith 5900 pinned (not as good IMHO). Many Promag and MecGar are problematic in the 6900

It's hard to believe they only stopped make the 6906 in 1999! From what I have read on other forums they are still very popular!

Yes I remember, but first they weren't shipping to NY then when they were the mags were back ordered. So I went with S&W to make sure I got them!! When Midway did get them in there was a limit of 2 and were sold out immediately. I paid more but I got them!

This one finally sold for $80+. No, it was not me who paid that price. I can get three MecGars with faulty skirts for $90 shipped.
Yes it is! But now someone can shoot there 6906 in one of the restricted states!! Look what people were paying for 22's when they couldn't just walk in to Walmart and buy it!

Notice the split in the metal body just below the 10 rd level. These mags were cut from the 12 rd mag bodies. Hopefully they are spot welded or whatever to keep them together. I believe there were some made without the split body. wonder how much they are selling for?Midway had em 2013, right after the decree.

Glad I could help!! Back in 2013 I almost got rid of mine because of the 12 rounders! Glad I didn't and was able to get the 10's, really like shooting this pistol! I will still keep a eye out for more!!
