I really like the idea of them, but the prices for the most part are more than a traditional safe. If they were cheaper than them I think you would see a lot more people buying them.

^^ This. I got on the SecureIt mailing list for a bit somehow, interesting reading. However I'd be concerned with humidity, especially since they'd be in the basement.

They look fancy, more expensive versions of the Stack-on Gun cabinets.
If I had a home I would just harden a closet space, put racks on the walls.

My plan is to make a secured room in the basement, but I needed something in the mean time. I really wanted one of these but I picked up a traditional safe on black Friday that was half the price of one their comparable safe.
