17lb .50 BMG? Does a muzzle break effective enough to keep this from breaking your shoulder even exist?

My buddy compared the recoil to a 20 ga shooting a slug. It didn't kick much when I shot it. I shot it prone.

It looks and sounds like the Hi-Point of the 50 BMG world. It works, it does what it says it will, but it's not really the gun you wanted. Still...that is cheap. I hate the open space over the trigger group.

Don't forget there are companies that make 50bmg uppers for ar15 lowers. Single shot and bolt action

Zel customs makes some nice 50 bmg uppers from what I have read. I don't think they are even taking orders now because they are so backed up. There is a article out there where a upper was shipped with the wrong size muzzlebrake and damage happened. I think the zel custom tactilite t2 upper and serbu bfg-50 are about the same price.

That upper was made by Vulcan/Hesse/Blackthorne firearm. I guess they keep changing their name cause of crappy products. From what I have read, the upper was new, unfired and shot with factory ammo.

Not a fan of the whole loose breech plug. What happens if you lose it? Why couldn't they have at least hinged it to the frame or do a drop block like a Ruger #1?
