Came across this place from a post on Reddit.. can't say I've heard of them but don't visit Syracuse very often.

The staff seems to have good qualifications, and I've been meaning to take more training classes. Sounds like most of these are classroom though, I prefer live fire.

So, does anyone have experience with them? Hard to find training here in CNY.. I've been to several courses of Chris Fry's, and he's really good, but it doesn't hurt to have multiple points of view.

Havent heard of them but youve piqued my interest. Im only 5 miles from there. I may check them out when its not during the holiday season.

I agree. MDTS does a great job but receiving instruction from multiple trainers can expose a shooter to various styles/methods/techniques. Remember, there is no one size fits all.
Unfortunately, I don't have any info on Shooter's Haven but would definitely be interested in learning more about them.

I've taken his 'Practical Pistols I' course twice at Deerfield, his second one is rarely held there; at least not that I recall seeing.

Unfortunately my current winter carry w/ light (S&W M&P 2.0 Compact w/ Streamlight TLR7) is limited to 2 mags since S&W isn't yet making factory 10 rounders... the 'Fullsize' mags would somewhat but would prefer the Compact ones. I could take my Fullsize, have plenty of mags for that..

Sorry sort of late to this party but for informational purposes I’ve done about 4 classes with these guys. I like them a lot and they were great help in me getting my unrestricted CCW.

It’s 2 guys and they switch off different classes they teach. Roger seems to teach most classes. I like his perspectives, I think the dude is a bit of a prepper and he sprinkles some of that thinking into his lessons. Resonates with me, personally. Dave is very practical and a very knowledgeable. Their classes really encourage debate and open discussion.

You can also really tell they give a shit about their students, very good answering questions, they also hang out after classes to chat. I haven’t taken every class but the ones I have were very helpful. Had nothing but good experiences with these guys.

I am pretty sure I talked to them at the last Syracuse gun show. The guy in the black shirt was a real nice guy.

Huh? So I take Course 1 for $159 and then I can attend again five times FREE?

• Any student that pays for a course may attend that same course at no charge 5 more times including live-fire courses (yes, we like to shoot also). I do not believe anyone can retain all the information and repeating the course is your best option.
