Ive got one of those mobility scooters that I hooked up to an RC controller. The eventual plan is a bunch of AR500 plate and a target holder on it. Then you can have a buddy control it safely and give you a very realistic target.....
The RC part is done, just need to get around to adding the armor.
My range has a building called "steel plate challenge" set up for handguns. Lots of fun even if you only use the stationary targets. The moving one is only for competitions for legal reasons. There's also some pop ups on the regular pistol range that can be fun also.
I'm going to do the steel resetting type this year. Then I'm going to do a art easel that drops clay birds so it will automatically feed the next one. I'm also going to get clay bird holders and run them on a string. To that strong I will also get silhouette and hang them in multiple positions and practice point and shoot from behind cover andnone the run. First with the .22 I need to buy then with my carry gun.
Shooting steel is strangely satisfying. Both the sound of impact and the target falling. One of the things I like about my club is the variety of steel targets.
Me too. It's all I got though.
There is a range around by me that has lanes with steel ranging out at intervals out to 500 yards. I gotta find a way to get membership in the limited hometime I have.
