Slinging an Ares SCR

The upper I am using has a gas block and the Magpul MOE h/g. They are staying, I like the feel, they aren't cold like an aluminum h/g, and when I hunt in the winter, I don't use gloves due to the dexterity loss when using them.

Anyway, here is the issue: I only use the sling for carrying and keeping my hands free. I would like to use the bottom swivel on the stock, but what do I use on the front MOE h/g ? I was looking at the IWC micro q/d , but have not been able to ascertain IF that would work on the bottom. The h/g is carbine length so there isn't much room for anything bulky, my paws use up most of the real estate.

Any thoughts/ideas for me ?

I am also in the market for a sling but am going with a tactical style and after some advice here and much Youtubin' and forum surfing, I think that I shall get a Proctor two point sling.
It attaches using loops of 550 paracord making installation quick , easy and universal.

You may be able to modify your sling to mount in a similar fashion.

I like the simplicity of the Proctor sling and the fact it doesn't require any QD hardware. I'll be adapting one of mine using some paracord I have lying around. If I were buying a new sling I would get the Proctor.

Well after putting my post up. I went to rummaging through ANOTHER bin of parts and pieces. I found a Magpul MOE picatinny strip I forgot that I had and a Troy q/d port. I took a chance and cut the smallest piece of the Magpul rail I needed and fastened it on the bottom of the MOE h/g and attached the q/d.................problem solved AND the nub of rail and the q/d port act like a hand stop !
