For the record my first pistol was an M&P 2.0 compact in 9mm. Liked the gun a lot except for the split hinged trigger. Now that they are moving towards a nice flat face trigger plus I can get it in 10mm, it just went on my purchase list.

I hate how every pistol comes with the cheesey optics cut with the cheesy plates. Custom slide cut or bust I say.

It is available without the safety. I like that they offer it both ways so people who want it, and people who don’t want it, can both be happy.

Also of note: a Glock G20 Gen 4 goes for about the same mid $600’s price point, but is not ambidextrous controls and does not come with optics ready. I was set on the Glock, but now this takes the spot on my wish list

does it have the Glock 10mm poly wog riffling barrel or real groves and twists ..

frm my experiences that glock 10mm poly wog barrel .. will not shoot plated bullets .. they tumble ..

I was just talking with friend a about this. Question can you shoot a 40SW in a 10mm? If so can you then put a 9mm (357 SIG ) conversion barrel in a 10mm or would the 10mm mags be to wide? If so this would really be a great all around gun.

shooting the 40 s&w in 10mm revolvers is common and fairly popular. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who will say it’s not a problem here either. However, I wouldn’t do it for my own safety reasons and this guy here explains why, better than I can.

True , but in my opinion that would defeat the purpose of me personally buying this 10mm . I already own a semi auto in 40 s&w . For someone who doesn’t, a conversion barrel would certainly be an option. I however want the option to shoot both calibers out of the same barrel so I’ll stay on the lookout for a reasonably priced 10mm revolver.

I don’t see any reason why S&W wouldn’t start producing a 10 rnd. Mag for this latest version of the M&P line. They produced 10 rnd. Mags for the other versions relatively quickly.

Not the compact 2.0 due to being a completely different mag . 1.0 and 2.0 full size mags are virtually the same . I’d assume the 10 mm will take time before they actually manufacture BS state compliant mags .

I agree. Sucks cause Ive been wanting a 10mm before I even got my permit and the shop I was in, didnt have any but had an M&P 9mm so I picked that up. Maybe they'll surprise everyone and have a mag in a few months

There are FFL’s that will pin magazines. Not ideal but if you love the gun maybe get two pinned and wait for unpinned factory 10 round mags.

In the 1911 you can put a 10mm barrel in a gun built in 40 originally and vice versa. You can also do a 9x25 Dillon and a 357 Sig. not sure about the M&P but you should be able to swap barrels to shoot different calibers.
