Sneaky Pete Holsters

I'm thinking about getting a OWB holster for my LCP MAX and like the Sneaky Pete. I like the Pete because they're pretty much conceal the entire gun. The only negative about them (to me) is they have a Kydex insert, and I'd rather have just leather inside. I've been looking on line and haven't seen anything like or similar to the Pete. And I don't want an IWB. I have a little experience working with leather and I'm pretty sure I could probably make a holster like a Pete that would be ok. But I'd rather just buy one if the price isn't crazy. Any ideas?

Understood, it's not for everyone. When I'm on my motorcycle my shirt will sometimes lift some, especially at highway speeds, and will expose more than a conventional holster. Seems the Sneaky Pete type would keep a firearm better "concealed".

I have a SneakyPete for my Seecamp. When I have to dress up and can't carry my usual gun, I put the Seecamp in the SneakyPete andcarry that. Only people that know what a SneakyPete holster is will recognize it as a holster. I wish it didn't have the SP embossed into the leather, but for what it is, it works well and I'm happy with it. I do not, however, use it every day.

Well I got the SP holster and find there are pluses and minuses. It's well made, and it definitely provides concealment, especially when I ride my bike on the highway. If my shirt gets blown up by the breeze/wind at speed all anyone sees is a leather "box", which is what I wanted. A minus... for me the SP provides limited space to get my fingers around the grip. So I added a spacer at the bottom of the Pete that lifts the gun up +/- 5/16 in., which allows my fingers good access to the grip making it about perfect for extraction. And the trigger is still out of reach when I pull the Max out of the holster. Another thing, it is a bit bulky even though it's made to house a little 380 LCP Max. The Pete measures about 6 in. tall and 5 in. wide and 1.5 in. thick, so it's a bit bulky considering what's inside. I've been looking on line for a more conventional OWB holster for my little LCP Max and haven't seen much I like so think I'll just dig out my leather tools and make my own.

I can see why some maybe most would prefer that but I'm not a real fan of IWB, they're a bit uncomfortable for me.

I used to love the fanny pack holster. Everyone had a fannypack, so wearing one didn't look out of place. I honestly wish they would come back into style.

Never had a fanny pack. Most men I knew at the time wouldnt wear one, it was considered a fashion item, like a purse you wear around your waist, for women and girly men.

I have a Bulldog vinyl "cell phone" holster that is similar to the SP but is oriented horizontally instead of vertically. Was cheap, but fits my needs for my morning dog walks. I got it for hot weather primarily when IWB is more difficult to conceal IMO. First time wearing it a guy who I used to walk along with with our dogs noticed it and said what is that, it looks too big to be a cell phone case. I just said it was for carrying stuff and changed the subject. I suspect him of being a liberal type, so didn't want to let him know what it really was.
