Man the 77/22 is a great rifle. What a bummer, I guess most are opting for cheaper .22s these days. After working mine over I can cover 10 rounds at 50 yards with a dime. Great rifle for a suppresor also.
CZ makes some nice eveything!
Its not surprising that these are going away, I'd bet that most folks looking at rifles in revolver cartridges go for a lever action. I do winder why the .22 is gone though. Do they have a .22 ased off there newer, cheaper "American" rifle?
The success of the Ruger American Rimfire (RAR) may have been the doom of the 77/22, 22mag and the 17hmr! I picked one up not long after they came out to use as a Appleseed bolt action gun. And it is a good shooting rifle, My Club got 3 of them from a grant from the NRA for the Women on Target program. There are probably close to 30 members now that have the RAR! Then Ruger came out with a wood stock model, I thought that would hurt the 77's at about half the price.
I picked up my 77/22 (2000 model) about 5 or 6 years ago for $400.00, It shot good then I put the Shilen barrel on and WOW!! If I could fine another for that price I would grab it to do a heavy barrel build
