Sorted and Cleaned Some Brass Tonight

I started out sorting some brass tonight. I keep a stack of 2 gallon paint buckets and let the brass accumulate until there is enough to clean.



I had enough to run a batch through the tumbler. It was about 23 lbs of 9mm.




Brass with water & soap added.




And on to the tumbler it goes!




After about 40 minutes and a rinse, this is what's left. It will live on top of the furnace until it's dry.

Just cheapie dish soap. I don't use pins ether and an happy with the results.

Oh yeah! I was out in the garage yesterday reorganizing (some asshole broke in) and made more of a mess then usual. As I was restacking everything I got to wonder WTH do I have a 5 gal bucket of .380 when I don't even have one? Same with .308, .270 and a few others. Oh well ya just never know what might follow you home.

I put a load of 38 Special on tonight. Only about a gallon and a half.

I tend to save it up and clean a bunch at once. Probably 6 or 8 months.
