****price reduction to $399 shipped, or will trade even for 5 bricks of Remington Thunderbolts, or Golden Bullets, Blazer, etc, 22 HV ammo*****
Here's a Sporterized Rem 03, rechambered in 7x57. Pinprick pitting ( and a bit worse in a place or two) on receiver. Caliber isn't marked so to be sure I Cerrosafed it, and it's a 7mm Mauser. Not a recovered drill rifle. No signs of any welds. Threw a cheap scope on it, bore sighted it, and with the remaining 4 rounds I had, hit the 100 yd steel gong with every shot. Rounds pushing forward from left side of mag had to be helped a bit, but they went right in, and everything else was perfect. No hard bolt opening or extraction. Smooth as silk. Spent primers were fine, with no pressure signs. Barrel is free floated. Ramline stock with quick detach sling, also a vintage Redfield 1903 one piece base. Sporter weight barrel of unknown origin. Trigger is USGI and breaks cleanly at around 4.5 lbs. Add another $20 and I'll throw in the 20 pieces of brass and a complete set of reloading dies for the 7x57.
***buyer assumes all liability and should have this gone over by a competent gunsmith, just to be sure, and maybe mark the caliber on the barrel***
Serial# 3206668. Not gonna win any beauty contests, and price reflects this. Great foul-weather truck gun, or start for a 1903A4 clone. $399 FTF and shipped & insured to lower 48 states only. Must go to FFL, and your FFL must be willing to send me (non-FFL) his signed copy. I'll include a driver's license copy along with the rifle, when shipped. Payment by US Postal Money Order only, or the 22 ammo trade, please. PM or email with questions. Cross posted elsewhere so Final sale will be according to time stamp, either here, PM or email.
*****Will trade even for 5 bricks (2500 rds.) of Remington Thunderbolt, Blazer, Golden Bullets, etc. HV 22 ammo.*****
