Selling a Springfield Model 944 Series A 12 Gauge Shotgun - single shot, side lever break top. It is in good condition with scratches on the metal, some finish loss and a hairline crack on butt stock near receiver (as pictured). Everything functions properly, locks up tightly. Asking price is $110 cash for Face To face sale or if shipping required then $110 for the shotgun plus an additional flat rate shipping fee of $30 paid by U.S.P.S. money order only. Offered as per availability, offer may be rescinded at any time based upon my discretion. In a face to face private sale within NY State, this must go through an FFL for a NICS check. Buyer pays NICS fee. If shipped, this must be sent to a dealer with a dealer's FFL or to the holder of a Curios and Relics FFL. Buyer must supply me with a completely legible copy of currently valid FFL. No exceptions and that includes law enforcement officers.
No sales to anyone under 18. Buyer must supply me with copy of government issued ID that is currently valid and the copy must be completely legible that shows full name, current address, and date of birth. No exceptions and that includes law enforcement officers.
No sales or shipping to anyone in: CA; Chicago, IL; CT; MA,; MD; NJ; NY City; Washington, DC; or anywhere where illegal or restricted. No sales or shipping to AK or HI. No sales of shipping to military addresses such as APO or FPO. No sales or shipping to foreign or anywhere overseas, including US Possessions.
I ship directly from me to your FFL. I am not an FFL holder. Thus, the potential buyer must ascertain before sending payment and documents that his FFL dealer will accept shipment of this firearm from a non-licensee. If you do not do so and it winds up that your dealer will not accept a shipment directly from a non-licensee, then you will be required to pay an additional $25 for the FFL on my end or the sale will be voided.
For face to face transfer, I prefer Volko Supply Co. Inc., in Nassau County. As of recently they still charged $25.00 for a transfer (although I believe only a NICS check is required as this is a private sale). Regardless of which we use for FTF sale, the transfer must take place at a FFL holder's brick & mortar business location - as in a real store. If shipped, it must go to your FFL dealer's premises as listed on his FFL. If the buyer's dealer charges a transfer fee, the buyer is responsible to pay that fee and the fee for a NICS check.
Your payment to me is your affirmation that you agree to all terms and conditions and that you are legally eligible to receive and possess this firearm.
If you are interested, please contact me by PM. If you have reasonable and relevant questions about this firearm, please post them as a reply to this post. Please do not turn this into a discussion thread about my price, whether or not you have one of these guns, whether or not they are great or suck or any other matter other than to ask relevant and reasonable questions about this particular gun and sale. This is being posted as a For Sale thread and I would appreciate your respect along those lines. Thanks.
