i seen a bit on NY laws .. but have to think on this ,.. this is built from factory .. its not a attachment to reduce the sound .. it was made that way from the start ... so to be in foul of NY , you would have to cut off what they did and add one to make it even quieter .. like in the movies .. puff puff ..
Idk I read NY laws and I wouldn't be surprised if it would violate state law
And I wouldn't be surprised if NY isn't challenging it in the hopes to catch someone with one arrest them and then get a ruling off that person's dime vs taking on a company like silencerco

I respectfully disagree. IMO although the "marketing" of this is "less smoke cloud and a quieter muzzle loader" i believe it's real purpose is not to be a great gun, but to be a great advertisement and tool to make the use of suppressors in America much more mainstream by demonstrating how outdated and ridiculous the laws governing them are. it seems like they wanted to show people all over (even in states that prohibit suppressor ownership entirely) that, suppressors aren't just some special piece of equipment only for Navy SEALS or assassins, they don't reduce the sound of a gunshot to an inaudible "pew", that they are merely for protecting hearing, and being polite to people near shooting ranges or hunting lands.
of course there isn't any huge demand or use for a muzzle loader with modern tech integrated, it's a muzzle loader.
with all that said i probably would buy one just for the sake of spreading the word, with the hopes that one day suppressors will be on the shelves right next to ear pro and eye pro.
unfortunately, NY sucks so i'm not exactly holding my breath for these to be declared "NY legal"

For some reason, my muzzleloader rings my ears like none of my other guns can (hunting so no ear pro). I'll be pretty deaf for 10 to 15 minutes and the ringing will persist an hour or more. I'd love to have something like this but I'm not gonna be the test case.
Silencer Co. Has already come out and said that N.Y. won't be getting any, 8 states total have their laws written in a way this still can't get around.

Hmmm. I could have sworn I was wrong in saying that this was illegal according to the NY Penal Law given how everyone was telling me that I was wrong.
Also @Willjr75 I do believe i conceded pretty early in saying this would end up being a no go in NY
