I have 3 of them. Two M96/38s and one M96. All still in the original 6.5x55 Swedish chambering. My personal opinion, great rifles for the money. That is, considering what I gave for them in '94. The M96 is a bit long to be used for anything like deer hunting, but could be a woodchuck or varmint type gun. The M96/38s are a little more handy but are a little hefty. In all though, for rifles that are easily 100 + years old they are really enjoyable to shoot and good little rifles.
