Can't help it, I gotta say this.
All too often it seems when I read about legislation supporting the right to bear arms, I also see in the article that it was opposed by one or more law enforcement agencies, district attorneys etc.
So I get thinking, where are all these LEO that people talk about that will uphold their oath to the constitution? Where are the LEO that will refuse to come to your house and confiscate your firearms for unconstitutional or frivolous reasons.
Mind you, I am not trying to bash LEO. However, IMO LEO know where their paycheck comes from. They know where that great benefit package comes from and they know where the retirement benefits will come from. There may be a couple floating around that will stand on their principles but I think anyone who thinks they are going to spared by an "oath keeper" is pipe dreaming. And if one does refuse there will be others who will gladly follow the orders they are given.

It won't matter unless they change the law allowing businesses to restrict firearms. I don't think I saw a single business in Nashville that didn't have a "no firearms" sign on their door citing the relevant section of law under it.

Of course not. Signs like that only keep honest gun owners from carrying. At least here in New Yorkistan I'm sure you could stop a robbery or shooting and they'd still charge you for carrying where you shouldn't.

Do those businesses have immunity to lawsuits if their patrons are injured due to being disarmed ?

If not, everyone present should sue if there is a robbery.

Yep, they would lose those lawsuits.

But what the businesses want even more than winning the lawsuit is to stay out of court to begin with. I bet the signs would come down anyway.
