"The enemy of this country.... is the rich" Dr. Jason Johnson

Here's an excerpt from a heated discussion on MSNBC between a Sanders worker, who called Bloomberg an " oligarch ", and a Bloomberg defender, Dr. Jason Johnson .

The thing that got my attention was this one sentence from Jason Johnson:

"At the end of the day, the enemy of this country, the enemy of the poor, is not just everybody who happens to be rich, it is a capitalistic system which abuses people."

Who does Dr. Johnson define as "rich"? I am offended !!

Why cast people with money as " the enemy"? I am offended and now also threatened !!!

Let me guess, this college professor teaches this sort of "divide-and-conquer-class-warfare" crap in his classes.

I'm not naive enough to think that capitalism won't just run amok if left completely unrestrained.

However, I'm definitely wise enough to know that if you don't give people something to fight and work for, they won't. They won't work, they won't put forth effort -- who would?

There's a huge chasm between "medical bills are out of control, and we need a solution to this issue" (which, we do) and "let's just have a socialism party, comrade."

Is this the same capitalistic system that allowed Bloomberg to amass his millions?

Capitalism is based on the use of free markets to determine resource allocation.

People don't always like the answer free markets give, but if they are really free markets (devoid of monopolies, externalities, and meddlesome regulation) they will find the most efficient distribution of resources.

All the other economic systems rely on some human oracle to determine how to allocate resources.

I don't trust people. I would rather trust an impartial algorithm, even if I don't always like the answers it gives.
