I was watching the morning news this morning and of course the vaccines won’t work well against the Omnicron variant. Of course we all new this would happen. Now the narrative being pushed is Omnicron will increase inflationary pressures and those people that were just thinking of returning to the workforce will now not return.
This is a joke IMO and meant to absolve Biden of any failings. So my question is if we are worse now than we were when Trump was in office why no lockdowns? Political? Sure not as many people are dying but I don’t think that has a ton to do with the vaccine since we’ve improve treatment methods. My evidence for this is if more people are entering the hospital than Nov of 2020 and more are leaving the hospital alive, the vaccine didn’t keep them out of the hospital as it’s “designed” then by default it’s the treatment methods.

It could be a combination of improved treatment methods as well as the fact that, normally, most viruses mutate to be less likely to kill the host.

Of course the narrative is that the jab won't necessarily keep you from getting sick, might not keep you out of the hospital, but will improve your outcome

As stated been wrong all along so why should we believe this?
He noted that many forecasters, including some at the Fed, predict that inflation will move down “significantly” over the next year as bulked-up supply chains overtake cooling demand for goods.

I brought up the new variant causing inflation because they have said it will ease, it will ease and hasn’t. I feel they will use this as a scape goat if it does t. I feel this is what they are setting up because it won’t ease like they are saying IMO. I’m certainly no expert, but I’ve been right so far.

They said it on the news today. News 4 National news and they said pretty much quoting that the Omnicron will increase inflationary pressure and will reduce the number of people willing to come back to work. They went on to say there were many people who were just thinking of coming back to work and now they will wonder if it’s safe, and likely not return.

If the coof disappeared tomorrow people would not be going back to work. More people than ever have gotten a taste of living off the government teat. That coupled with what I believe to be a revolution of people not accepting menial pay and poor treatment in certain fields compounds the issue. As far as inflation... whatever prices are for goods now is pretty much locked in at this point. Except for things like energy (and we're certainly not there yet), prices never go down for goods. Can anyone think of something that has gone down in price once it got to a certain level? Good luck and stay safe out there.

IMO at this point the stock market means nothing for how the country is doing. We were in the shitter for a while and the stock market sure didn’t reflect it. We’re no where near breaking records, sure we’re doing ok, but there are some huge red flags still going on.
