If you're going to rob someplace / someone, be prepared for the fact that you might not live to see the fruits of your labors. You decide to take something that doesn't belong to you, be prepared that they might take something of yours, namely your life.
Had it been the "place of law enforcement" to take that life, then there'd be outcry of excessive force and police brutality.
Why not just admit the fact a poor choice was made, the odds were played, and the dice came up snake eyes. Why wasn't your son at home? Why was he out robbing a restaurant? Why wasn't he at work? All good question I'll bet there's no answer for.

Online articles mention the same old bullshit story - he was a guy down on his luck, struggling to hold down a job, had a baby and a pregnant girlfriend, etc...
Then there are pictures of him with several tattoos and one article mentions that he was wearing Nike Air Jordans when he got himself shot.
Tattoos and expensive sneakers, but no money to raise a family. Wtf.

When I was a youngster, people respected the Police and were embarrassed if a Policeman came to their house. Close neighbors know everything and people would have to explain why a Policeman came to their home. No one in jail was spoken about in public. Families were shamed/embarrassed to have a member in jail.Hollywood decided to make criminals glamorous, have actors make police look stupid. Pile up a hundred cars in a movie and their are no consequences. Getting back to the Black and white movies the bad guy always was caught or killed in the end. Principles and morals declined to the low there is now.
