Its not very accurate.
I just installed new sights on my p226 and my Shield. Took them out to the desert yesterday to see how far off I had made them. On that count - I did well. Both seems pretty close to the mark. The problem: the Shield pretty much crushed the Sig in accuracy. The shield shot a bit right, but it did so in a pretty nice group, so no harm there. The Sig shot about a 5 inch group around the bullseye. This is not a new problem, its just that I’ve finally realized its not me, it’s the gun. Putting it back to back with the Shield and having the little guy kick its ass, was eye opening. Same ammo through both, same windy conditions.
How does yours shoot? What can I do about it? I don’t even consider this to be ”combat accuracy”. The Sig is a police trade in, but I’ve done a lot of upgrading to it since I got it - new springs, totally new trigger from Greyguns. Had it refinished, etc. It runs perfectly - it just doesn’t do to well accuracy wise. What could the problems be?
