Bill Nye is a shill for social engineering and a POS, however:

with old data from 1/2017 it costs over $233,000 to raise a child, if a person cannot afford to raise that child they should not have it, when some welfare queen is popping these things out for tax payers to pay for, I say NO WAY, abort the fetus and sterilize the cow.

Abortion is not population control for me but sound fiscal policy, besides Big Government should keep its hands off our bodies.

I mean he's not wrong in a way, I've been saying for years that "global warming" is probably due to the fact that the world's population has almost quadrupled in the last 100 years.. Maybe if people would stop popping out kids like crazy... (but hey, if the .gov pays you for for having them why not!)

This is dumb as fuck for one simple reason. The vast majority of the worlds population is in 2 countries, India and China. If u have an issue with overpopulation, why not go to those counties and do something about it?

I mean it’s 3rd world nations that are contributing to population growth the most, after all. Merit of eugenics arguments aside, you are barking up the wrong tree if u think the US and planned parenthood are gonna put a dent in this issue.

So you want big government to keep its hands off our bodies but advocate some type of mass sterilization/coerced abortion.

Who do you think would enact and enforce that policy? The people, en masse, sua sponte, would just take it upon themselves to refrain from having children?

There's an example for this policy/mindset in action. CHINA.

That is an excellent philosophical question, we could have a choice, let the mother and child starve to death-(if the the mother is able-bodied but work shy) OR the citizens who are against abortion can sponsor these children like adopting a highway.

It is like this, taxpayers who are anti-abortion/pro-life should not have to have tax money cover what they believe is murder, just like poor people should not be procreating like maggots and having Uncle Sam slide his hand into our pockets for the huge cost to raise the children they cannot afford.

I gather we agree to disagree, so everyone is miserable as we are stuck with state-sanctioned murder (abortion) and state-sanctioned robbery (taxation for easily abused but well-meaning safety nets).

We do not have to agree, but I respect the position of yourself and other pro-lifers, this is why government was supposed to remain small, budgets lean, and Liberty scrosanct.

My ex wife had several abortions required by the government after her son was born.
