New York State Police Newsroom: A Woman and Two Men charged in early morning Home Invasion


Evidence associated with this crime was found in the roadway and in the
field/woods along the roadway, including a revolver that was believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.

• Patrick U. Ponzo, age 33, from 154 Broadway Albany, NY
• Haley J. Recor, age 19, from 630 Bronson Watertown, NY
• Robert I. Sawyer, age 32 from 614 Philly Courts Philadelphia, NY

all three suspects named above were each charged with the following:

• Robbery 1st degree, a class “B” felony
• Burglary 1st degree, a class “B” felony
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, a class “C” felony
• Conspiracy 4th degree, a class “E” felony
• Menacing 2nd degree, a class “A” misdemeanor

All three suspects were arraigned in the town of Pamelia Court. Haley Recor was remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $20,000 cash bail/$40,000 bond. Patrick Ponzo and Robert Sawyer were remanded to the Jefferson County Jail without bail.

Damn I wish they brought the dogs to track the four thwarted invaders who tried to pay us a visit. The Sheriff and Troopers lost them in a wooded area. (My rescue buddy and I were able to track their flight path the next morning, too late.) On the other hand, the cowards might have shot the dogs.

I do ask why should the bail/bond situation be any different if the charges are the same.
Women always get over easy.

This is probably true. However women most definitely and routinely receive more lenient treatment and lighter sentencing than men for the same charges.
