Time to search for a new holster

Well it's time to start looking for a new holster. (Appendix inside the waste band only)

As much as I like both my T.rex Arms sidecars, I am wanting to move away from the gun/mag combo holster, the one and really only down side is the lack of adjustment for one or the other.

I am also planning on upgrading from an Inforce APL (2nd gen 200lumens) to a surefire X-300u (600 lumens).

Critria
Must be kydex (no leather, deff no hybrid crap, and no nylon junk)

Must be able to have a weapons light and optic cut (since I'll be running an RMR as well)

Ability to reholster one handed and when gun is loaded (sorry not a huge fan of the MIC style holsters, I do have, in that box of never use holsters that so many of us have, one of the Bravo concealment vanguards)

Would really like one with a "claw" "wing" or what ever each company is calling the plastic part to compress the grip closer to the body to help with concealment

Also open ended, the first new holster will be for both my Glock 19 and my Glock 17, would also like the ability for it to fit both if I was to add a compensator to either of them (1 holster for 2 guns type deal)


So far the closest thing I have found to what I want is G-code (doesn't have the claw wing thing but their belt clips do the same thing, not ideal but isn't a bad trade off, had a G-code before and really liked it)

I have a few of his for my Glock 19 and 43. All are aiwb with a claw and 1 has a light. Very positive click in place. He is in Alaska but he is fast on delivery. Usually under a week.

Sadly I am down in Elmira, but I do sometimes wish I was closer to or in Rochester, I used to go to the firing pin for their Saturday night defensive shooting classes that they used to have and hoping to check out RPD this year for one or two classes

Tier 1 concealed. The mag caddy snaps off if you don't care to run that way. Not cheap though.

G-code 100%. I have more g-code appendix holsters than I am willing to admit.

But please note that despite appearances and claims to the contrary: the clip(s) do NOT provide any significant pressure of the grip towards your body. This can be solved by gaffer taping to the holster a medium-firm foam wedge (salvaged from packaging or a gun case). This WILL provide pressure to the grip towards your body. The size and placement of the wedge can be customized easily. With a little experimentation you will be very comfortable and the holster will be as concealed as you wish it to be. As a bonus, the wedge will keep your nasty bits from schweating as much on the muzzle.

Also, I would recommend the 'mojo' and not the 'super mojo' option when you order the holster. The mojo version will help a bit better in pressing the grip into your body.

Try this wedged g-code and I bet you will never look back.

Don't know how long it took to get your gcode three years ago. Presently the turn around time for a holster not on the shelf is only a couple weeks, where a year ago it was a couple months.

Have you tried that holster in other positions besides appendix? I'm not sure if appendix is right for me so getting something I could use in another position is attractive if I don't like it. Plus I always wondered how the claw would work like that.

Claw is for aiwb. I don’t think it works 1-5 position.
I only carry aiwb so I’ve never tried it 1-5. You could always just take the claw off. It’s just 1 bolt

Maybe at 1 or 5. The claw adds width to the holster so at 2-4 I would think it wouldn’t.

@Defilade deff looking at their xiphos, since it would be a waste to spend twice as much when id only be using half the holster

I would pause on that design. The clip is not adjustable and I made that mistake with a Dara holster. My gun would not ride high enough from the belt line to make a fast draw. Training with it sucked. Get something with adjustable clips IMO. I am running a P30sk which is a 2 finger design and maybe that was the problem, I don't want to run a pinky extension. Don't know what you want to run with it.

Easy and effective mod posted above. Custom tailored fit - greater comfort.

What are you talking about "not adjustable"

They offer their non tuckabele (pictuted)
A swivel tuckabel
And a tuckabel with 5 holes (pretty sure 5 holes will give you a good amount of adjustments)

IDK, Doesn't look as if that clip will move up and down at all. Maybe I'm not seeing it.

Hell they are only $4 and it comes with one, so spend an extra $8 have all 3 to test out
