Trump Asks Why ‘Beleaguered’ Sessions Isn’t Investigating Clinton
WASHINGTON — President Trump turned up the pressure on his own attorney general on Monday, calling him “beleaguered” in a tweet questioning why the Justice Department is not investigating Hillary Clinton.


Mr. Trump’s comments are remarkable because if the attorney general, Jeff Sessions, is beleaguered of late it is largely because of Mr. Trump himself.

In an interview last week with The New York Times, Mr. Trump said he never would have nominated Mr. Sessions if he knew he intended to recuse himself from the investigation into Russian meddling and the Trump campaign. Those comments raised speculation that Mr. Sessions would quit, but he did not. Instead, Mr. Sessions said he would stay on as attorney general “as long as that is appropriate.”

Mr. Sessions has made it a priority to address violence, gangs and drugs — carrying out Mr. Trump’s inaugural pledge to end “American carnage.” But his tense relationship with Mr. Trump has overshadowed his agenda at the Justice Department. Mr. Sessions was the first senator to endorse Mr. Trump’s candidacy and was an architect of his populist message on immigration and trade.


In his tweet, Mr. Trump returned to campaign rhetoric, suggesting his Democratic opponent should be the subject of an investigation into murky ties to Russia, not him.

I have watched Sessions for many years on cable news and C-Span, often I agreed with him HOWEVER, where the F&&K is he with attacking states that attack the 2nd Amendment?

Sessions has yet to prove he has the fortitude to take on the desperate Dems and the Rep "rino" establishment.

Potus with reason is not happy with his selection but imo he should have kept that thought to himself at least for now.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) on Saturday called out Republicans for not speaking out about the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia
"Jeb's rules."

The first rule wasn't caught on camera, but Bush's second "rule" spoke directly to the Russia investigation swirling around the Trump administration.

"If your opponent does things that you, your head explodes on, if Barack Obama did something as it's related to Russia, you say 'this is outrageous,' all this stuff, then when your guy does the same thing, have the same passion to be critical," Bush said.

IMO - Trump should let Russia probe run it's course. (if it's an empty investigation). And Trump should leave AG Sessions alone.

Jeff Session came to my town in response to MS-13 problem here. That was a good thing. Session is trying to do something about cities harboring illegals. And the US AG won't harass law abiding gun owners like A-holes Lynch and Holder.
