Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano on President Trump suggesting he would support an end to the federal ban on marijuana.
Why is there a federal ban on marijuana?
Make it legal already! The tax it will collect will help offset the wall and a shitload of other stuff. Making it legal would do away with the illegal drug dealer violence. Take away the power of the gangs.
I am mixed on this .... I have worked around people that on lunch hour grab a smoke and they seem to be more careless when working around moving machinery. Are some of these same folks that use now going to be stoned all the time if it is legal ...
Alcohol is legal. Do those same people operating machinery come back drunk? Guidelines will still need to be followed. Can't work or drive when intoxicated or stoned. JMO

Not really. Employers go by a urine test that detects metabolites not THC. One can test positive up to 30 days after marijuana use. To be fair a similar test with similar time since use detection would need to be adopted for alcohol.^^^
This again.
My workplace has restrictions against drug/alcohol use while on the clock. Just like my workplace has restrictions on my being able to carry while on company property.
If you want to remain employed, you abide by your employer's rules. Otherwise, find another job.

Yes. I also forgot to mention employers do random tests. Sorta like a lottery. Not based on performance or anything.Just like there is a field sobriety test, create a field 'stonedness' test.
Yet here in NYS we have one of the farthest left governors who happens to be very anti marijuana.
He's got plenty of BJ money though. No MJ lobby to line his pockets.
This is the crux of the matter. Can an employer fire you for smoking off the job because one tests positive . IF not then how can one be assured that the employee did not use before the start of the workday and could be working perhaps stoned . Even further in a court of law when that employee sues because he claims what was in his system was from a party 2 weeks before . ... And he claims he was not in any way stoned . With booze one can accurately say how much one has in their system I don't think this is the same for weed .Not really. Employers go by a urine test that detects metabolites not THC. I seem to remember reading that it had something to do with hemp production. Something along the lines of what the G did with peanut growing and only certain people are legally allowed to grow peanuts. Another double back scrubbing for sure. Why is there a federal ban on marijuana?
That and NYS CO's, cops, teachers and most other state employees are not subject to random without cause drug testing. No MJ lobby to line his pockets.
Why is there a federal ban on marijuana?
Because any stoner can grow it in their backyard and the .GOV can't make money from it.
