Ulster County Permit Question

A co-worker applied for her pistol permit in Ulster County. She said she had met with who she though twas an investigator about a year ago. She said the investigator expressed reservations about her getting a pistol permit because of her inexperience with firearms. Since then, she had some health issues and didn't follow up with the application, but says she hadn't heard anything since the interview.

I'm not too familiar with how Ulster County handles the permit process. Does this sound typical, or is something funny going on. Any feedback is appreciated.

That has to be something funny. No gun allowed because a person doesn’t have firearms experience?

If she submitted it it is in the works. @Gonzobird waited 14 months.

I would call THE JUDGE.

NOT THE SHERIFF. THE JUDGE.

Call each and every judge until you find who has your/her app.

Be nice. They are elected officials that work for us. No harm can come from it.

I called about my dealers license and it was easy as pie.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is something else going on, but I only know what I have been told. She didn't seem to sure of what happened or when, so who knows...

I advised her to follow up and find out what's going on with her application.
