Vaultek pistol safes

Looking for a better bed side pistol safe. Looks pretty nice, but just wondering what your thoughts are. I like its lithium ion, act power with both biometric and combo. I know lots of people like the Fort Knox style, but with kids I kind of like more combo options and the app to track to see if the kids are messing with it.

Not sure. I think it springs open if that's what you mean. Hickock45 said it seems really solid built and has good reviews everywhere I looked. It has 2 locking points for anti pry.

I'm looking at this one or just the 2.0. Only difference is one has the finger print scanner the other does not.

Many biometric handgun safes can be opened by a 4 year old. See youtube please. Cannot speak for the vaultek. I would not even consider it if it is not a true deadbolt. This is one reason in favor of the simplex lock fort knox handgun safes.

No. Deadbolt means locking bolt cannot be bounced open. A kid can drop some of these 'safes' a few inches and the door will spring open. Make sure it is a deadbolt!

From what I've read this one is not like that. That's why I was considering this one. I'll do some more research. I was aware of those issues with cheaper ones. They also have the 2.0 not the 2.0i that does not have the biometrics on it. Thanks and I'll search around some more, but reviews seem good. I was hoping some one had one so I could get a good honest review. I just don't think the Fort Knox has enough combination options for a family with kids. You can reuse numbers so there are 40,000 safe combos and I'll know with the app if my kids are messing with it. I don't know. It's hard that's why I've put this off. Thanks again and I'll search to see what I can find.
