Had a student made such a threat to engage in a mass shooting at a such a school, or even worse - expressed interest in guns at all - they'd be FINISHED.

Of course they are spreading peace and understanding right??to me there is a very big difference between getting mad and saying I'm going to kill some one and this jerk making specific threats. There's freedom of speech and then there's outright threats. There's a line and he crossed it. Love that he's blaming Trump for a crackdown when he's not even in office yet! No, although his tweets were clearly threats. There are dozens of different things they could have charged him with. If he would have said the same things about Obama he would have had an unpleasant visit by the Secret Service. There are two things here that go without question, first there is a double set of standards depending on your location(this story would have been a lot different if it happened in Dallas), and this professor is a idiot. I wouldn't want him teaching my kids anything.

He's precisely why I carry concealed and send 1000s of rounds down range practicing to defend myself and my family. In my world, he's a lit fuse and capable of almost anything. He needs to be evaluated, fired and criminally charged accordingly. Even the most progressive colleges should find his actions frightening and disqualifying.

A threat is a threat. I know Im very careful about what I say online, even little things can be misconstrued.
