He will be President for 3 months and then step down due to mental health reasons. Whoever he decided to be the VP running mate will become POTUS. God Help Us because any one of the prospective running mates is a disaster waiting to happen. Probably much worse than Dementia Joe. (If that's possible)

My prediction is pelosi and schumer run the country then, through all their congressional plans. Biden is the quintessential wet noodle. He has no principles or positions he cares about at all, is fully malleable. Any positions that may have been important, or not important, increasingly won't be or will be as his mind continues to decay. He is the perfect candidate for the rest of the democratic leadership in this sense.
I did read yesterday him vs clinton. The article pointed out that clinton was far more polarizing, but some people really liked her. I always thought overall nobody really got passionate about her. But it pointed out that she has a shit load more twitter followers than biden.
I don't believe anybody at all wants to see him in office, even democrats. Nobody could possibly convince me they are passionate about seeing him in office. Nonetheless, he could win. Absolutely could. This country is fickle. Corona or a war or who knows what can swing support for trump by 10 points overnight one way or another and secure or destroy his odds in november.

But it's insane to not take it seriously as a threat. Look at the past 4 years it's been NON STOP anti Trump everywhere you look. The media, far left politicians, Congress, pop culture, special interest groups, the deep state government, foreign influences etc. There is a MASSIVE coordinated effort to remove him. Look at all the fake impeachment attempts.

Some of the same reason trump won, some of the same reason sanders is popular. People are generally aware of something not right with the federal government and this is their version of a middle finger.
Now, Obama people definitely had passion for. He was charismatic and smart. His mind wasn't literally melting, either. It's no shock that he got votes.

OP asks a very good question. Biden quite obviously will not be a strong leader. Will his VP control things behind the scenes? It depends on who it is. Someone like hillary - absolutely. Someone like an inexperienced newcomer like stacy abrams - probably not.

Things didn't go so great after 911, particularly with bush's epic clusterfuck of an iraq war (absolute shit decision he's never been properly held accountable for). Obama spent a lot of time emphasizing the fact he was one of the few who voted against intervention there. That, plus the endlessness of the intervention made people hungry for change. It's really not difficult to see why he won iMO.
