Which Glock should I partner a Ruger PCC with?

Re-doing this cliff notes style.
I wanna Ruger PCC. I'm considering the above three Glock pistols to pair up with it. I have no Glocks at all, I never was a fan but every now and then I wanna try em out again.
Have PPQ and I love it, G19 is the same kind of gun and I don't like duplication in my collection. I may consider replacing the PPQ with th G19 though.
I'm wondering if there is anything the G17 can do that the G34 can't do better, I'm thinking if one has room to pack a 17 then the 34 isn't enough of an extra encumbrance to matter. But perhaps someone can expand on that last point.

9mm only, no subcompacts. The idea is that the pistol would live in a small stealth bag with the broken down carbine.

I know you said no subcompacts but I still vote for the 26. The reason being if things get bad and you are on foot, you may have to hide your bag and conceal your pistol to go somewhere.

It's harder to do that with a 19 than a 26 if you absolutely have to conceal it for a reason. It'll leave the same footprint as a S&W Shield. You can also turn it into a full size with a 19 or 17 magazine and a sleeve.

I got other guns for concealment, the Shield you mentioned or someday maybe that new SIG P365. Since I am blessed enough to take advantage of full capacity mags I want something bigger, 19 is as small as I'd consider. For now. If I do get a Glock and I end up liking it alot, and I decide against the P365 I *may* get a G26. Someday.

It's also unbelievable to me that given the excitement that this new Ruger can take Glock magazines, and the fact that "does it take Glock mags?" in general has become a meme, that Glock has not done their own PCC by now. It would sell like nuts! Even if it sucked a little.

My vote is g34 but 17 would be ok too. The longer mag will work in any pistol a 19 mag wont work in a 17. Get the ultimate in compatibility since concilibity is not an issue. Also you get 2 more rounds per mag

Do one thing very well (glock only making pistols) is a better business model than do everything mediocre (ruger)!

Oh. Sorry. To answer the op question, you should buy an AR 9mm. They are far better products for a myriad of reasons .

If you are shooting comp. get the 34. For comp the 19 sight radius will hinder you. The 19 is a ccw. The longest sight radius will help you on the long technical shots. And with the 34 cutout is feels lighter than the 17.

I'm not a fan of Glocks but to answer your question I would say the 19. IMO the 19 size gun is the best compromise for all around shooting and you still have the ability to carry.

What tog said - the 19 is the perfect compromise between concealment and all round shooting. For carry, it offers high capacity (outside of the gulag), full grip (except for gorilla mitts), and just small enough to conceal in even the warmest of climates. I have carried one for almost more than 15 years and the only reason a G43 gets the nod is because of its lower weight.

I say Glock 19, but more importantly is my surprise that Ruger finally produced this rifle to accept Glock magazines. I was emailing them years ago for just this rifle.

17 with a grip chop! Wait that's me dreaming again. Realisticly if it's going to be a combo drunk guns you will have a long guns ready for the big stuff so you will need a gun to tuck away and conceal. So a G19 makes more sense to me.

My vote is for the G19. I have a JRC 9mm Take-down PCC that takes Glock mags as well. It partners well with my G19, and the G19 is easy enough for me to CC. The JRC is a blast to run with my 33 round mag. I've also run the G19 with the 33 rounder just for fun at the range, it's amazing how accurate I can be with it, I even switch to off hand mid-fire.

Right but why carry other guns for concealment that don't jive with your carbine? That defeats the whole point of having a carbine in the first place. For that just skip the carbine altogether and put a real rifle in your pack.

A carbine and pistol combo are supposed to be for what you'll actually carry on the road to minimize bulk like the old cowboys of old used to do.

why buy a mediocre compromise (g19). Buy the correct tool for the exact job uou wanna do. Do not compromise.

G19 for ccw
G34” for comp.

A porche will get groceries, it is more suited for a race course.

Primary purpose of the Ruger PCC, for me, is as a range toy. Such use would favor the Glock 34. Secondary purpose of the Ruger PCC would be to ride around in an ultra stealth bag, grey man style. Such use would favor the Glock 19, folks have made some good points regarding the versatility of the Glock 19.
For further clarification the purpose of the Glock would be as a virtual siamese companion to the carbine, they would be kept together almost exclusively, primary carry gun would be something else. Unless I really warmed up to the Glock 19, should that be the route I go.

Literally do both, get a Glock 34 (I still vote a G17L that would make this even coooooooler) and have the frame chopped to a Glock 19 size (or even do it with a normal 17)

Other places do just the chop, these guys go way more than just a chop, or just do what I did and chop it yourself. (And hell get yourself a Gen 3 since you can find OEM frames for about $75 if the chop turns out not something you want to do)

Or other option (can't get the link since I'm at work and it's blocked) but Lone Wolf distributors makes a dohicky that you can throw a G17 slide onto a G19 frame (yes you can already do that with out the dohicky, but this will extend the frame in a way to cover the recoil spring and make it look cleaner)

1) buy a G17L cause FTW.
Least expensive
2) compromise and get one 19 17 or 34
3) get a 17 or 34, chop that to a 19 (suggest a gen 3 if you don' like it you can find cheap OEM frames, or get the oem frame as a spare so now you have the full 17/34 and the chopped one)

4) Get a Glock 19 then get a G17 slide and Lone Wolf slide dohicky that I can't remember what it's called conversion shit. Now you have OEM 19 frame with 17 slide

5) most expensive and takes the longest. Buy 17 or 34 (or 17L ) and send it to one of the many companies that do frame work and also do the chop for you (could take months)

@Podmonkey i will will stock the ruger when it is available. It is a good cheap option for sure.

I expect the Release to be similar to the RPR. slow and hard to get for years, and when you can get it the price will be higher than the stated intro price. (. The RPR started at like $900ish. Now they are $1100 ish. I see there was a sale at $1k, but for the most part it is over 1100. Expect the same for the 9. I will buy and sell em if/when i can get em for sure. )

I think the SR9 is a decent gun, but I have no interest in it. Its the extended capacitt Glock mags I'm after.
