It's the same reason with the government's push for EVs. They want to be able to control the population movements by limiting the distances/range and methods of obtaining that said energy. It is very easy to do with electricity.
I find it quite fascinating how well the sheep are conditioned and oblivious to all of this prolific invasion of government into their daily lives. They just accept it, or to put it bluntly, take it up the ass and believe it's normal.
Then the whole illegal problem we have. That alone is making our nation weaker by the minute.
I see the US being a different landscape in the very near future.

America is imploding piece by piece, driven by the leftist progressives in government and their friends MSM, and big business. Many are getting brainwashed. The sheeple have become like the frog in the pot of water, heat slowly being increased.
No big secret.... More than ever, the USA needs a strong leader (leaders). Someone with the moxy and balls of Trump, but someone/s with better communication skills than Trump.
Things here, and abroad too, will get worse before they get better. It's going to be a rocky road for sure. Buckle up.
