I guess that would depend. The violation of an honest citizen is a betrayal, where the debt can never be repaid. There are pathways for a felon to re-attain they're rights. Not rigorous enough if you ask me.They should be able to own any gun once their debt is paid.
If you can't be trusted with guns, you shouldn't be in free society. If you paid your debt, as established by the law, you should get all your rights back.I guess that would depend. Now the politicians like cumo that make everything that is constitutional, but violates their political sensibilities a felony, well they should be exiled, to Haiti, or is it Hades. Either way, they should never be allowed to own a gun, nor have authority over those that legally, constitutionally own guns.

It's slippery because we've been conditioned that way. In the Old West after you did your time, you got your guns back or bought another one.Point made Darth. But you know it becomes a slippery slope.

They always blame the wrong thing anyway, so who cares?Conditioned you say....
You are underestimating the Left who controls the main stream media.
Who will they blame when a career criminal does what he knows?
A felon?
Or a Felon who's "gun rights" were restored thanks to a republican?
Or worse the average LAC American?

I agree it's a slippery slope. I think criminals need to prove themselves a bit before getting their gun rights back. Too many of them have gotten out of jail and committed another crime almost immediately. They should go through a legal process after a time period of not committing crimes then get their rights back. It's hard to say. I do see Darths point for sure that they served their time, but they are high risk IMO.Don't give up buddy. Fuck'em...I am more of a libertarian than you think.
Can't give them an inch.
How about the difference of violent and non violent crimes . ... We had a person that was caught with... 3... 15 round mags . A felony offense here in NY state ... If convicted. ....In another state ... No problem . So he is a "high risk " person ?
So we should use free society as a "testing ground?"I agree it's a slippery slope. I think criminals need to prove themselves a bit before getting their gun rights back.
