I'm headed I guess, because I grew up in a time with the mostly tall Irish built like brick shithouse beat cops patrolling the neighborhood and they didn't take shit... There was respect for the "Law" and some morality! The entitled were yet to be born with their silver spoons and the excuse makers for the law breakers had yet to learn their doctrine!

I grew up with a dad and uncle from WWII, they didn't take shit from anyone/ thing including the cops, gov, schools, us youngins.

#1 The cost will probably be less, as they will now be using off the shelf guns that don't require any gunsmithing
#2 Probably the way all the guns are funded
#3 Probably based on the fact that lower trigger weights will make them more accurate, causing less collateral damage.

I actually have a NY2 trigger in one of my Glocks. I use it for training.
When a student has trigger control issues, I have them do 100 reps with the NY2 trigger then switch back to the stock trigger. It's amazing what that does for their accuracy.
