If we drive up to our own homes and see that it is being burglarized we are not even allowed to go in armed. God for bid you kill one of them you're in the wrong. Pretty fucked up law isn't it.

The article misses the fact that in TEXAS, you are legally able to use DEADLY force to prevent theft of property! Simple...
Best case was the guy who got off after shooting a hooker who kept the money he gave her and refused to perform services for said money, when he requested that she returns the money she tried to leave, he shot her! All perfectly legal, no matter how ridiculous.

Maybe not the smartest idea but I commend those guys for being ass kickers.
Obviously these scumbags were targeting gun range vehicles and hopes of finding firearms that could potentially be used for evil doing.
It's great to live in Texas where you can save taxpayers some money by taking out scum bags.

Sounds like they could have stayed in the store and shot them from cover. I don't think I would have went outside. Not worth the risk. Sure they are better trained probably, but still not worth the risk.

Not the safest move, not the smartest idea, should have called police ... Why exactly? Because they where not given the go ahead to shoot and kill theives by the "government" via police authority?
I can't see killing somone over the taking of "things" but people seem to have no problem harming others in the act of taking those "things" it appears they where very much willing to shoot there way out of it. Seems to me maybe these gents are onto something because the current methods for dealing with crime hasn't been working.

IDK about you guys/gals but I, physically work my ass off so I may obtain nice things for my family. Because of what I do I have put my health and my families future at risk. My back hurts constantly, my knees are a wreck and my fingers have arthritis.
There is no right to steal, to take 'things' that don't belong to you. I should have the right to defend myself, my family AND MY PROPERTY.
Stealing, and criminal behavior in general, shows no moral or ethical character whatsoever. If the criminals try to steal 'stuff' while armed, then there is no clearer message that, in their eyes, your life is worth LESS than "stuff". Armed bad guys already decided they will kill you for 'stuff'. When they made that conscious decision, at that moment, they have forfeited their future.
I should have every RIGHT to terminate that threat. But, this IS New Yorkistan, so I will abide by the rules set forth by "corrupt, civilized progressive morons" that think they know how to live my life better than me. The same morons that think criminals are just misunderstood.
Im old and tired and broken. But I still go to work everyday (when I have work). I still struggle to abide by regulation after regulation. And the state says "it's just stuff"......that 'stuff' represents my life, my work, my dedication to family. The state can bite me
