Just days after admitting that some 500 millions of its email accounts were hacked (allegedly Russians, of course), the Yahoo confessional continues as Reuters reports, somewhat stunningly that, Yahoo secretly built software to search all of its customers' incoming emails for US intel officials. Yahoo's reaction to this: we are "a law abiding company."

Yahoo Inc last year secretly built a custom software program to search all of its customers' incoming emails for specific information provided by U.S. intelligence officials, according to people familiar with the matter.

Back in the 80's it became HIP for Corporations to layout their Corporate Core Agenda to be Six Sigma etc.
One of those is Community Conscienceless or We will be a good community partner. Remembering that community is the root word of communism, that meant cooperating with Law Enforcement when ever possible so you could be a good corporate citizen. Normally, LE would need a subpoena or warrant to have access to certain records. I use the word normally which is also synonymous with legally. A wink and a nod sometimes takes the place of a subpoena or warrant or at least those two items will appear after the fact to be able to use in court. No court proceeding? Why bother.

Besides: The courts have ruled. You gave info to a third party, so your expectation of privacy is KAPUTT! Hence now the State Police Gun Squad is allowed to data mine your prescription information from Wal Mart and others which may result in the revocation of a pistol permit or two. Again, that is why I say, my fight against gun owner control is not about guns.
