According to what I have heard, the much of the recorded inflation rate are home prices. Unless you are buying or selling right now, it is a good thing. Higher rates will help reign in inflation on other fronts of the economy

Some of the inflation is housing and home prices have certainly increased like crazy, but inflation is across the bord at this point on nearly all goods and services. Car prices are screaming high, food and energy are other big contributors to inflation at this point.

That does suck. What I would say is have them wait as hard as that is at times. I think prices will come down, they have to. We will have a recession and rates will also drop. In a few years I think will be the best time to buy a house in the last 10 years. Rates and prices will drop. Best of luck and it sure sucks.
